There’s nothing sweeter than peach picking in NJ, and having these fruits fresh off the tree can be a fun and delicious way to spend the day with the fam. And luckily, in New Jersey, there are plenty of pick-your-own farms with peach trees ripe and ready from July through September. While opening day for peaches starts at some farms beginning of July, it’s best to call ahead or go online for the exact timing of openings and to make reservations (most require purchasing tickets online). Alstede Farms
Picking is early-July to mid-September
For peach picking and to beat the crowds at this popular farm, it’s best to pre-purchase tickets before arriving. The annual harvest calendar is a great reference when scheduling what to pick next.

Picking starts at the beginning of July
Start gathering those pie recipes so you’re ready for peach picking at Demarest Farms. Also, don’t miss their apple and pumpkin picking in early September.

Hillview Farms
Picking begins in August

Along with peach picking, you can also pick a bunch of zinnias. Don’t forget to load up on local produce and foods at their General Store.

Picking is July and August
White and yellow peaches are available in July and August. Littles will love seeing cows and other animals on the farm too. While you’re there, pick a few plums to go with your peaches.

Picking starts at the end of June
Pick your own on Saturdays and Sundays. Make sure you call before you go on Sunday to check that they have enough fruit left to be open. There is also a membership program that gives five months of access to the farm for picking your own fruit.

Battleview Orchards Country Market and Bakery
Picking is from late June to September
Battleview Orchards is known as the oldest pick-your-own farm in New Jersey, and each bite of one of the treats at their country store (pies, apple cider, and cider donuts) will have you tasting a bit of history. Check the farm’s Facebook page for picking updates.
