Kites at the Pier Festival in Long Branch, NJ: April 13-14

On April 13th and 14th, bring your little ones over to Pier Village in Long Branch for their annual Kites at the Pier Festival with hundreds of kites flying high. From flying creatures to traditional kites, kite flyers from across the eastern seaboard will gather for this two-day festival to showcase some of the most amazing kites flying high over the beach between Avenue and McLoone’s Pier House in Pier Village.

A giant display of kites of all sizes, games for the whole family, entertainment and food

A dazzling display of giant kites will be visible for miles and miles during the two day Kites at the Pier Festival in Pier Village. Giant kite experts and kit clubs, including the South Jersey Kite Flyers, Richmond Air Force, Kites Over New England and many more will be lofting some exceptionally large sea and land creature kites into the air. Other spectacular kite visuals include vertical wind feathers and ground displays showcasing different types of kites. These kites will be visible from several miles away!

Family-fun activities at Kites at the Pier Festival in Long Branch, NJ

Be sure to around for the Running of the Bols competition during Kites at the Pier, where kids and parents will latch on to an 8 foot diameter parachute-kite and run head first into the wind from a starting line to a finish line. Whoever wins gets bragging rights for the next year!
