Little Food Scientists is a hands-on food science class designed for curious toddlers ages 2–4. Each weekly session explores the natural world through food — where plants come from, how seeds grow, what makes bread rise, why fruits change color, and how simple ingredients transform into something delicious.
Every class is built around real whole foods, simple experiments, and age-appropriate discovery. No screens, no worksheets — just little hands exploring big ideas in a real kitchen environment.
Classes run every Saturday from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Audacity Kitchen, a licensed commercial kitchen space in Bloomfield, NJ — easily accessible from Montclair, Nutley, Verona, Glen Ridge, and surrounding Essex County towns.
Parent or caregiver participation is welcome and encouraged for ages 2–3. Children gain confidence, curiosity, and a healthy relationship with real food from the very start.
What kids explore:

Where food comes from — farms, gardens, seeds
Simple food science experiments with real ingredients
Sensory exploration — tasting, touching, smelling whole foods
Basic kitchen safety and hygiene
Plant-based whole foods and how they grow
