The Maplewood Memorial Library welcomes the community to two KPop Demon Hunters–inspired companion events that celebrate the music and creativity behind the film. On Saturday, January 31, 2026, the library is hosting “KPop Demon Hunters Q&A and Singalong”, a behind-the-scenes program featuring musicians from Maplewood and South Orange who were involved in the film’s Grammy-nominated soundtrack. Composer Greg Polzak and singer Julie Reiber Bennett share insider stories from their work on the film, and then all can join in the fun with a lively sing-along featuring popular songs! This event is for families of all ages and runs from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis, with the line forming at 1:30 p.m. Please note that no photos or filming are permitted during the presentation.

Ahead of Saturday’s event, the library will also host “Paint Derpy the Tiger” on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. This hands-on acrylic painting tutorial invites participants to paint the lovable blue tiger inspired by the film. Hosted by the Teen Services Department, the program is recommended for ages 10 and up, including adults.
