Visit the animals
The main attraction at Carm’s Farm? The unique and diverse petting zoo features a variety of cute, friendly barnyard animals, plus a few exotics like Charlie the Camel, which kids love spending time with. Other noteworthy animals include: mini cows, Texas Longhorns, horses, pigs, buffalo, alpacas, and peacocks. There are also llamas, emus, guinea hens, and ducks on this Central Jersey farm. This up-close experience also lets kids feed most of the animals, with carrot cups available on site. You’ll find the goats some of the friendlier ones, who are used to people and come right up to kids offering a carrot. Kids will love the bunnies who are in their pen. You can visit the pen, play with them, and pet them.
Get into farm mode
During events and seasonal times of year, you can find activities all over the farm, like ziplining (which is toddler-friendly), gem mining, apple cannons, a corn maze, a playground, fire pits, and even a barrel ride. The farm is clean and wide-open, and it’s an ideal spot for the kids to let loose. Plus, if your kids love vehicles and farm equipment, they can get up close to them and see how they operate here. There are also many great photo spots with barns, fields, and rustic farm scenery if you want to snap a few photos.
Grab a bite
When it’s time for a break, you can grab something to eat and sit in their picnic area, and during their seasonal events, there are a variety of treats to try. They also have a farmer’s market with farm-fresh and locally sourced seasonal produce, where you can grab some farm-fresh honey, fresh eggs, and premium firewood all year-round.
Celebrate at the farm
For the holidays, you can visit the pumpkin patch in the Fall, see the Christmas display with snow flurries in the Winter, and frolic around the farm in the Summer. In spring, when Carm’s Farm opens, there is an egg hunt and Easter Bunny visits. You can also host your own event at the farm, like Mommy and Me events or birthday parties. There are different birthday options, but they can include a private area, entry to the bunny pen, a private train ride, a goat meet and greet, pony rides, and you can select party locations like the outdoor field, a small indoor house, and a greenhouse.
