9/11 Heroes 5K Run & 1 Mile Walk
Twenty-four years later, America has not forgotten the fallen soldiers, officers, mothers, fathers, and children who lost their lives on that tragic day. Sign up for the 5K or bring the whole family to participate in the mile walk to honor those who have fallen, embrace those who have survived, and support those affected.

9/11 Ceremony of Remembrance
This annual day of remembrance will be held on September 11 to commemorate the tragic events of that day in our country’s history. The 9/11 Living Memorial Garden is a beautiful place to spend time reflecting on the lives lost on this day.

Annual 9/11 Memorial Service
This service on 9/11 honors and remembers all those affected by this day 24 years ago. The service will last around 45 minutes, so bring a lawn chair or blanket for your comfort. In the event of rain, the service will be moved into the Ambulance Corps building.

Monmouth County Mount Mitchill
Families are welcome to visit the 9/11 Memorial at Mount Mitchill in Atlantic Highlands to honor the 147 people from the county who died on 9/11. The Memorial features a timeline walkway to recollect the day’s events, a stone base carved with the names, ages, and hometowns of the county residents who lost their lives, and an eagle sculpture with a beam from one of the fallen towers.

13th Annual RTFC 9/11 Firefighter Stair Climb
Remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice on 9/11 with the 13th Annual Stair Climb. The challenge is to climb the equivalent number of stairs that FDNY firefighters climbed in the World Trade Center before the collapse. This is not a race, and the climb takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete. All proceeds will be donated to the FEALGood Foundation to support individuals battling systemic illnesses resulting from exposure to the site’s conditions.
