The 39th Scandinavian Fest
The 39th Scandinavian Fest returns to NJ Vasa Park in Budd Lake on Sunday, September 6, for a full day of Scandinavian culture, food, music, history and family fun.
Families can watch Viking combat and demonstrations, explore the Leif Ericson Viking Ship, see blacksmiths and traditional crafts including weaving, Hardanger embroidery and lace making, enjoy children’s music and activities in the Kids Tent, try Scandinavian food, browse Nordic-inspired vendors, and watch the 16th Wife-Carrying Competition.
The festival celebrates the cultures and traditions of Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Iceland, while also recognizing Estonia and its cultural heritage.
General admission is $17, seniors are $15, and children 12 and under are free. Tickets are available in advance at ScanFest.org and at the gate. Online ticket holders have a dedicated entry line.
