Santa In NJ: Where To See The Big Guy This Year


He’s making a list and checking it twice—yes, Santa in NJ is back in a big and safe way. From malls to towns to festivals and villages, kids can give Santa their wish list, visit with his elves or special characters, and snap a few photos to keep. And while there are safety measures in place, kids will still feel the magic, even if it looks a bit different. Ho, ho, ho!

Where To See Santa In NJ

Santa’s Flight Academy at The Mall at Short Hills
Now through December 24
Bring your littles to learn the sled ropes and join Santa’s Flight Crew at Short Hills Mall. Children will help Santa in NJ guide his sleigh and help him deliver gifts all around the world. When you meet up with the big guy, you can choose between a socially distant visit with the big guy or a picture on his lap. Masks are optional during the visit but are recommended before and after. Reservations required.

Safe Santa Celebration at Bridgewater Commons
Now through December 24
This year Santa will be sitting seven feet behind kids for a socially-distant experience, and through his unique Santa-com system, kids can share their Christmas list with him. Their faces will light up when he presents an exact list of their top gifts (mamas, when you book an appointment, you can send Santa your kids’ wish lists). Reservations are suggested but not required.

Photos with Santa at Deptford Mall
Now through December 24
Head over to Center Court and have your kids snap a photo with St. Nick. Little ones can choose between a socially distanced visit with the big guy or a picture with him. Reservations are recommended, but walk-ins are also welcome.

Santa Arrives at Westfield Garden State Plaza

Ho ho ho—Santa will be arriving again at the Garden State Plaza to visit all the little boys and girls. Guests will be given the option to have children stand next to Santa or sit on a bench in front of Santa. Skip the line by making a reservation before your visit.

Santa’s Wonderland at Bass Pro Shops
Now through December 24
Head over to the Bass Pro Shops for a visit with Santa in NJ. This year, Santa will be sitting with your little ones but just not on his lap. After you visit the big guy, mail your letter to the big guy and receive free giveaways while supplies last. Reservations are required for your visit.

Lights, Camera, Santa at Menlo Park Mall
Now through December 24
Dress up the kids for that festive photo and yearly magical moment with Santa. Reservations are strongly encouraged. On December 4, head to the mall for Milk and Cookies with Santa, where the little ones can visit with the big guy, make a craft, and enjoy some delicious milk and cookies.

Visit Santa’s Workshop in the Christmas Village at Skylands Stadium, featuring a photo station with Mr. Claus, carnival games, and Champ, the life-size polar bear statue. Enjoy delicious ice cream and custom hot chocolate drinks at the snack bars while the kids roast marshmallows over the fire pit to make s’mores. Visit with Santa at Johnson’s Corner Farm
Begins November 26
Get ready to snap a ton of photos with Santa Claus at this free event which features their famous Light Show on the Lake. Take a lighted hayride, decorate a Christmas cookie, and roast a s’more on an open fire. This year, Santa will be greeting kids from his Red Tractor and staying socially distanced with no photos on his lap.

Turtle Back Zoo Holiday Lights Spectacular
November 26 through December 23
Take a stroll under the sparkling lights of over 50 winter and animal characters, and then stop by Santa’s workshop to take a picture with the man himself. If you want a memorable souvenir to remember the occasion, a professional photographer will take photos available for purchase. Be sure to check the schedule before you go—Santa has to make quick trips back to the North Pole and isn’t always on the property.

Can you keep a secret? Rumor has it that the zebras at the Cape May County Zoo brought Rudolph and his crew in through the back gates. Come see for yourself, and while you’re there, get your photo taken with the jolly man in the big red suit and go for a ride aboard the holiday train.
