Getting creative at the Crayola Experience
We started our day on the 2nd floor of the Crayola Experience, to make and name our own crayons. How could we not? It was so cool to choose a color, pick a name, create the label, and use the old school machinery to make a crayon.
Then it was Scribble Scrubbie time! We traded in our ticket for a fuzzy pet toy. My toddler was completely smitten over the pair of kittens we decided on. She carried her new toy pet the rest of the day and kept it in her hand as she slept on the way home. It was precious.

At the creative stations, it was time to design. We used washable markers in every color to draw stripes, hearts, and stars on our new pet toys. I loved watching my daughter focus on coloring her kitty to the best of her ability – what a sweet memory to have. These toys really are for kids of all ages, from my 17-month-old to my husband.

Once the design was done, we snapped a quick picture of our pet then brought it over to the fountains for a scrub.
We watched the amazement in our daughter’s eyes as the design washed right off in the water. To her, it looked like magic! We gave our kitty a little extra scrub using our fingers to make her bright white again and ready to be redesigned into the next colorful creation. It was good as new!

Our Scribble Scrubbie got a quick dry under the blow dryers and then we were off to redesign a new pet. We did this over and over again all morning – my toddler loved to wash her pet. Who knew she would have so much fun?

This new exhibit is perfect for some quality time with your little ones. My husband and I watched kids and adults of all ages enjoy designing their pets together as a family.
As a toddler mom, I’m happy to say that the fun still hasn’t ended. My little one loves to color her Scribble Scrubbies pets for hours of creative fun. I pull them out every evening at playtime when I need to get dinner done. Bella’s little hands can stay busy with her daddy, while I get a meal on the table.
