One year!! I can’t believe that it’s been one year since we closed on our new home. We found a house we loved in a different town then the one we ended up in & that’s kind of how we decided to sell our first home. Jon said were putting our house up for sale in October & barely two weeks later it sold! We ended up not buying the house we initially fell in love with because of issues on the inspection & the pressure to find a home in such a short amount of time weighed heavy on me. It became stressful for me because I was becoming so pregnant and couldn’t find a place I loved. I literally drove Jon crazy & I know that & he did the same to me. We may never move again.😆A few months later we found a house I knew he wasn’t crazy about but I loved. It was a long few crazy months selling, putting everything in storage, living with my in-laws, then moving in almost 8 months pregnant. But we did it & I truly couldn’t be happier where I am right now. I miss our first home tremendously because we made SO many memories in it, but I’ll always have them. Jon always tells me not to get attached to a home but that’s hard for me. Although our house isn’t exactly where I want it to be yet & we’ve already done so many projects & have so many more ahead of us & I still have no decorations on the walls, I love this home & I love the people I share it with. And the bonus, we have awesome neighbors who became such great friends. 💗 . . . . . . #motherhood #gratefulforhome #blessedbeyondmeasure #njmom #njmoms #monmouthcountymoms #newbeginnings #neutraldecor #toddlerlife #toddlersofinstagram #girlmama #ourtinymoments #motherhoodlens #littlefierceones #modernmama #momblog #parenthood #marriedproblems #discoverunder5k #acupofmotherhood #everysquareastory #honestmotherhood #monmouthcountynj #familyislove

I'm glad a lot of influencers/bloggers/content creators are using their platforms to talk about what's happening! Now I will say there's moments where I get anxious, not primarily for me getting coronavirus, but for my mom. My mom is over 60, and works in the hospitality industry (most of my family does, including my husband!). The best I can do is to remain calm for the sake of my toddler who feeds on moods and energy, and to try my best to remind her hey are you carrying gloves when you're traveling, or dont forget to wash your hands, wipe your keyboard down. Stay away from anyone coughing around you. And I do the same to my husband! Just a reminder, not everyone can work from home, there's a list of industries where you have to attend the customers needs. I will say I'm glad the MTA, LIRR, NJTransit, and PATH trains are taking the initiative to clean clean clean everything. And remember to wash your hands, cough like if you were the Count (yes I've been watching too much Sesame Street), and call the hospital or 911 before rushing in to the hospitals and getting our medical professionals sick! We need them. That is all. Stay safe everyone.

The reality of trying to take a picture…at least I know they love me!!⠀ ⠀ You know what they say, two is always better than one, ESPECIALLY when it comes to WINE! These two wines come from Lalande-de-Pomerol, which is a small appellation just north of Pomerol on Bordeaux’s Right Bank. Here Merlot is the dominant grape, followed by Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Wines of Lalande-de-Pomerol have similar qualities to those from Pomerol, but at a fraction of the price. ⠀ These are great options if you want to “break into” Bordeaux wines. Produced at the same standards as Bordeaux’s from Pomerol, these wines tend to be lighter-bodied, possess great red fruit characteristics, yet won’t break the bank. Definitely a great appellation to look at if you want to try a Bordeaux. The bottle to the left was actually brought over by one of my friends who has been trying to break out of her “wine comfort zone.” She went from only drinking big reds from California to now trying wines like Bordeaux. I’m so proud!😆(love ya @colshanahan)! ⠀ ⠀
