This was from Memorial Day earlier this week. It was a beautiful day so we had a picnic at the park. That’s one thing I’m grateful for with this pandemic, getting to spend extra time with my family doing simple things that we took for granted. I know this is time I will cherish, another maternity leave really, and while I think it will be very difficult going back to “real life” (especially for Mira-I foresee some separation issues) I think this time has bonded our family in a way that was needed and is truly priceless. If only this time didn’t come with all the cost of the reason we were given it. How are you all feeling about going back to “the new normal “? #quarantinelife #memorialday #thenewnormal #familytime #njfamily #momlife #njmom #disneyfamily #picnicinthepark #dadlife #daddysgirl #pandemic2020

Pool days are the best days! 😎⠀ ⠀ As Summer approaches, keep in mind these warm weather safety tips:⠀ ⠀ ☀️ Dress babies in loose, lightweight fabric in light colors.⠀ ⠀ ☀️ Keep babies hydrated, but not with water. Babies under 6 months old should not receive water; babies stay hydrated by increasing breastfeeding frequency + bottles of breastmilk or formula instead of offering water. ⠀ ⠀ ☀️ Limit sun exposure, especially between 12-3pm. For babies younger than 6 months, ask your pediatrician about sunscreen use. Sunscreen is generally not recommended for younger babies, but exceptions might be considered for small amounts on skin areas that can’t be covered and staying inside isn’t an option. ⠀ ⠀ ☀️ If you both love long walks, consider buying a portable, rechargeable fan. It can get warm in the depths of the stroller, and you’re going to want to keep babe cool.⠀ ⠀ We are excited for summer! What summer activities are you looking forward to? Drop a comment below! 😎⠀ ⠀
