Break out your derby hats and mint juleps, and celebrate opening day at Monmouth Park with live racing, family fun, live music and more. It’s the Jersey Shore’s Biggest Derby Party and Monmouth Park has teamed up with Vineyard Vines and the Asbury Park Press to offer you a fun kickoff to the race season on Saturday, May 5th starting at 10AM.
Be sure to arrive to the park early as the first 5,000 in attendance 18 years and older will receive a Mystery Mutuel Voucher (“MMV”), while supply lasts. The best part – all cards are a winner – woohoo! Prizes, in the form of racetrack wagering vouchers, range from $2 to a $1,000, and can be redeemed between 4PM-6:30PM on race day.
Meet the Vineyard Vines whale (ya know ya wanna), enter to win a prize pack from Vineyard Vines, walk around their red carpet and more. Be sure to dress to impress as they’ll be hosting Best Dressed Couple and Derby Hat competitions for chances to win exciting prizes.
Monmouth Park gates open at 10AM and the first race kicks off at 1:45PM.
General admission is just $5 and kids 12 and under are always free. Parking is $5 per car.
