Winter is coming, and as we head indoors amid so much uncertainty, what can we do to help our children play better independently, make the most of virtual schooling breaks, and keep our own sanity? That’s what we’ll be talking about this week on Facebook Live, as we sit down with Lizzie Assa of The Workspace for Children for simple and creative ways to make play a priority during all this time at home. As a former pre-school teacher with a master’s degree in education and mom to three kiddos, Lizzie will give us essential resources to help encourage play, education-based tips to help kids develop social and emotional skills, and the kind of real talk that lets moms know they’re not in it alone. So head over to our Facebook page on Tuesday at 8 PM and click on the videos tab on the left-hand side to watch. Send a quick hello in the comments, tell us how you’re doing, or ask us a question— we’d love to hear from you. In the meantime, answer our quick one-question poll, and you could be featured on NJMOM and News12 this week.
