This summer weather has been totally unpredictable with lots of rain and gloomy days. Tucking away some ideas for indoor play when the weather gets moody is scientifically proven to keep kids and mom happy. And, it really just gives you a little break on those days when you might be stuck inside all day – or like recently, days at a time.
It goes without saying, we are big fans of adventures here at NJMOM, and especially ones that include healthy activities like exercise, laughing and play. We recently took a visit to Sky Zone Ocean for some indoor jumping and jousting, and learned about their summer pass special which includes 60 minutes of jumping everyday for the month of August for just $39.99. It’s usually about $25 per day so this is clearly a bargain if you plan on going more than once this month.

Free Climb
It’s just you and the wall—no harness needed. You’re little ones (or you!) will put their strength and stamina to the test as they hang over a giant foam pit while free climbing this challenging bouldering wall.
Freesyle Jumping
‘Run around and get all that energy out,’ is what we said as they took sprinting towards Sky Zone’s giant trampoline court. Your littles can let go of gravity and grab some air on their sprawling wall-to-wall trampolines. They can jump around solo or with a friend, and show off their inner acrobat.
SkyJoust
If you’ve ever tried to break up a fit between your little ones, now is not the time. Cheer on as your kids battle their friends (or you) to a friendly battle of sky jousting. SkyJoust is gladiator-style combat, taking place up on top of pedestals that sit over their foam pit. They’ll be challenged to keep their balance, while their mate tries to knock them off of their pedestal.
Some of the other fun attractions at Sky Zone Ocean include their warrior course, sky hoops (basketball), a warped wall climbing experience, sky ladder, and foam zone (our kids’ favorite spot).
