Calling all new and expectant parents! The NJMOM Baby Expo is showcasing the best in baby gear and accessories, local services and more from over 70 baby and kids brands. Test, shop and learn about everything you need to know to step into parenthood with ease. Sample products from exhibitors, attend educational demos, win over $25k in giveaways, receive VIP gift bags and get pampered, all while enjoying healthy bites among panoramic views of NYC. There’s plenty for the big brothers and sisters, too— visit the Family Lounge for face painting, fun music and games.

RWJ Running with the Devils 5K Run & Walk
November 2, 7AM
If you ever wanted to do a family fun run and walk, this is for you: New Jersey Devils and RWJ Barnabas Health are teaming up to build healthier communities by promoting active lifestyles and world-class healthcare. Race goers and walkers will bring home a t-shirt and will receive free admission to the Turtle Back Zoo, as well as discounted admission to Mini Golf Safari and Cody Arena. Look out for special appearances by the New Jersey Devils mascot and alumni, as well as a mascot race! In the Start Village, you’ll find tons of games and photo opps.

Meet Mermaids at Adventure Aquarium
November 2 – 10
If  you’ve got a mermaid lover (or a few!), check out this limited exhibition of real live Ariels. You and your kids will be mesmerized as you watch them swim among the largest collection of sharks on the east coast (yikes!) at the Shark Realm Exhibit. And if you prefer meeting them on dry land, they’ll also be hanging with stingrays and hundreds of fish at the Mermaid Beach Club–make sure to snap a few selfies under the sea!

St. Anthony International Festival

Take a virtual trip to the Greek Islands at a Greek festival right here in New Jersey! Princeton Day of the Dead Celebration
November 2, 3PM-5PM
Get ready to experience a unique festival that celebrates a Latin tradition around Halloween—the Day of the Dead. Have the whole family take part in El Día de los Muertos with strolling mariachis, sugar skull decorating, face painting and folk arts and crafts. To honor those who have passed away, El Dia de los Muertos features building private altars using sugar skulls, marigolds and favorite foods of the deceased, and visiting graves with these gifts.

Flemington Touch a Truck Day
November 2, 11:30AM-3PM
For any family with kids that go nuts when they spot a truck, you can’t miss this annual event, which has been described as “a parade that stands still.” Littles can enjoy an up-close view of dump trucks, fire trucks, ambulances, police cars and to their delight, get to touch them and talk to the drivers. There will be over 40 types of vehicles, so make sure you snap a few shots for the ‘gram.

Tyke Time at the Urban Farm

For kids 5 and under, this is a relaxing and educational way to start a Saturday. Kiddos will listen to a story meet the chickens, learn all about how food is grown and cover the garden beds with blankets, while singing lullabies to the plants and soil in preparation for a restful sleep until spring. At the end of the day, they’ll make a yarn pumpkin to bring home for the table. Advance registration is required.

Short Hills-Millburn Street Fair and Craft Show

A street fair and craft show in November? Heck yeah! Put on a light jacket and scarf and eek out the last days of autumn at this exciting family-filled day featuring live music, a DJ, dancing, kids rides, a game trailer, a petting zoo, maritial arts exhibitions, bouncy houses and a ton of delicious food.

Paramus Fall Food Truck Festival

The Paramus fall food truck fest is so much more than just food: Check out the legendary trucks like Chank’s Pizza Cones, Glazed and Confused, House of Cupcakes, the Mac Truck, and Zoelily Empanadas, as well as the Beer & Sangria Garden featuring local brews.There’s plenty for kids here too: They’ll dance to music, take a pony ride, visit the petting zoo, get their face painted and have a ball! Don’t forget to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the local food pantry.
