Looking for a way to give back this July? Celebrate music and wellness while donating to local charities at Soulsational Festival in Bayville, run or walk along the Hoboken waterfront with the family in support of local youth charities at the Party With Purpose 5K or get muddy at New Jersey Muckfest in Somerset in support of the National MS Society. No matter how you choose to give back this month, these events make for a fun family outing and the perfect way to show your littles how to pay it forward.

Spread love and give back this month at these NJ charity events:

Party With Purpose 5K, Kids Fun Run and After Party 
July 16, Kids Run at 3:30PM, 5K at 7PM
Support local youth charities and take in beautiful views of the city skyline along the Hoboken waterfront at this popular annual family race and party. The Party With Purpose fun run and 5K helps support organizations like the Hoboken Boys and Girls Club, TRUE Mentors, and the Jubilee Center. The kids fun run is free and begins at 3:30PM, the adults start at 7PM, and it’s all followed by an after party featuring live music and a beer/wine garden. Online registration closes July 13th.
Pier A (1st & Sinatra Dr), Hoboken, NJ
Cost: $40 online (July 1 – July 13), $40 in-person, on-site registration, kids race free

Ducky Derby at Allaire
July 20, 11AM-4PM

The littles will absolutely love this quirky, fun event, featuring derby duck races ($1 per race) every half hour across the Mill Pond. Winners will receive prizes and you’ll also have a chance to meet and greet costumed characters, play duck games and activities, stop by the duck selfie station, listen to music, and watch live demonstrations from the 19th century. All duck donations will benefit The Historic Village at Allaire – a venue that is always open to the public.

MuckFest for MS
July 20, 9AM-2PM

Muckfest is an adrenaline rush for a great cause, attracting families from far and wide with big, bold, muddy obstacle courses. MuckFest supports the National MS Society in its fight to help people living with MS and find a cure for the disease. This challenge features 18 obstacle courses designed to make you jump and soar higher than ever, but it’s truly is an event for all ages. Kids 10-17 are allowed to race with an adult and there’s a super muddy playground area for the “Lil’ Muckers” under 10.

Soulsational Festival
July 27, 11AM-8PM
You can find local musicians, food trucks, yoga, a kids village, art gallery, live demonstrations and so much more at this family event celebrating health and wellness at the Jersey Shore. This 100% volunteer event will donate to Ocean and Monmouth County charities and local food pantries. You and the family can feast on healthy food options (and mom and dad can sample some local organic beer) while exploring local businesses and organizations doing important work in the health and wellness realm. Donations of diapers, school supplies, and new toys for local charities are also encouraged.

Cost: free

Miles for Minds 5K & Fun Run/Walk
July 28, 7:30AM-11AM

Come out to this 5K and Fun Run/Walk for an active morning with the family benefitting JFK’s Center for Brain Injuries. All ages and skill levels are welcome for the fun run and walk around the lake, and then the racers will tackle the 5K. Miles for Minds is aiming to raise $100,000 and by being a part of this event, you can help the mission of treating patients with brain injuries. Nothing like a morning of exercise and inspiration for the whole family!
