This November, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center is jam-packed with entertainment perfect for family nights, date nights and moms’ night out. Move and groove to the smooth, classic jazz tunes at the TD James Moody Jazz Festival, bring the kiddos to a local library for the Books on the Move & Jazz in the Stacks or get in on the action at the PAW Patrol Live! The Great Pirate Adventure. One thing’s for sure: NJPAC is stocked with shows to keep you laughing, singing and dancing with your family this month.

PAW Patrol Live! The Great Pirate Adventure, November 30

PAW Patrol Live! is back with another fun adventure featuring everyone’s favorite characters. Pup Ryder needs all paws on deck as he hunts for a secret treasure. Your littles will love this show, and it gets even better with the VIP experience, which includes a premium seat, special gift, and meet and greet with the characters after the show. Strap on your pirate hat and grab your map!

Books on the Move & Jazz in the Stacks, November 2, 6, 13, 23

Join NJPAC Teaching Artist Wincey Terry for a free reading in local libraries of Nighttime Symphony written by Christopher Myers and illustrated by Kaa Illustration or Chato’s Kitchen written by Gary Soto and illustrated by Susan Guevara. At select Newark public libraries, there will be a performance by the Wells Fargo Jazz for Teens ensemble following the readings. The first 25 families to RSVP for Books on the Move & Jazz in the Stacks will receive a free book!

TD James Moody Jazz Festival, dates throughout November

Spend a night swinging to jazz greats and to the sounds of contemporary arrangements during The TD James Moody Jazz Festival which features dozens of free and ticketed events, including a triple bill of Steps Ahead, Michael Franks and Spyro Gyra. Jazz aficionados will not want to miss the starry salutes to the music of Erroll Garner and Nat King Cole. Whether your a first-time listener or long-standing fan, this festival, featuring 15 jazz events, has something for everyone.

Made in Puerto Rico with Eli Castro, November 8 & 9

Get ready to celebrate culture and diversity with the Off-Broadway smash hit coming to NJPAC: Made in Puerto Rico with Eli Castro. Perfect for date night or mom’s night out, you’ll laugh nonstop at Eli’s one-man performance as he explores what it takes to be a Puerto Rican living in the United States. His insightful storytelling combined with his comedic timing make this performance a blast, and one to remember long after the curtain drops.
