Every month we round up 15 must-know, kid-friendly charity events happening around New Jersey, and this July is no exception for inspiring acts of kindness you and your family can take part in. Take this summer to join in on events and festivities that encourage your children to pay it forward.

1. Bowling For A Purpose
Sunday July 8, 2018 from 3:00PM until 5:00PM

On Sunday July 8, 2018 the Southern Burlington County NAACP presents the 3rd Annual “Bowling With A Purpose” Fundraiser! The event takes place from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the Big Event Cherry Hill (1536 {Rte 41} North Kings Highway). For just $15 your ticket will include unlimited bowling and soft drinks, plus your shoe rental, and pizza! A convenience fee applies for electronic ticket purchases. This event is a part of the SBC NAACP “Community Strengthening” Series.

2. Food Truck Festival for Justice
Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 12:00PM to 6:00PM

The family event features food trucks, vendors, kid’s activities, and live music by the Solid Rock Band. Kids activities include: Dance lessons, face painting, sand art, corn hole tournaments, and mkore. Table vendors include: crafts, jewelry, artwork, clothing, accessories, books and more. Food trucks include Clyde’s Ices and Luis Empanatas and more. In addition to live music by the fabulous The Solid Rock Band, there will be some special guest artists! All donations go to Beauty for Ashes Scholarship Fund – for victims of human trafficking to support their journey, from victim to survivor to thriver.

3. Suffolk Stables 2nd Annual Barn Dance
Saturday, July 14 from 6:00PM – 1:00AM

Join the fun…country style! Suffolk Stables is holding their 2nd annual barn dance fundraiser. The event includes a professional line dance instructor, crafts and games for the kids including making a pool noodle horse and competing over fences, apple bobbing, limbo and more fun. They will also have baskets and items for a silent auction and also for a tricky tray. Price includes food and s drink from a very awesome menu.

4. Ballin’ For Adam
Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 12:00PM to 4:00PM
Ballin’ for Adam is a basketball fundraiser in memory of Adam Goldberg, a Marlboro High School Student. The Event will be held at Marlboro High School in Marlboro, NJ on July 15, 2018. The Goldberg Family has partnered with The Herren Project (THP) to raise awareness for opiod addiction. THP provides intervention, rehabilitation, support networks and many other services helping kids to make a difference in their lives. Chris Herren, a former NBA Basketball player, has dedicated his life to educating both students and parents regarding the opioid crisis plaguing our nation. In addition to a great basketball tournament in Adam’s honor, they will also be hosting an incredible raffle with prizes valued up to $500 as well as other give-aways including a basketball signed by Chris Herren, the founder of this organization. There will be a live DJ, guest speaker, food and fun for all those attending. 100% of proceeds will be donated to The Herren Project.

5. Party with Purpose 5K Run & After Party
Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 7:00PM to 10:00PM

he Party with Purpose 5K, Kids Run & After Party is Tuesday, July 17th at Pier A Park in Hoboken! As one of the biggest races in Hoboken, this event supports local youth charities, including Hoboken Boys and Girls Club, TRUE Mentors and the Jubilee Center. There is a fun run and other special events for the kids before the evening kicks off with 1500+ runners participating in the waterfront 5K. An after party along the pier is a great way for volunteers and runners alike to end a successful night.

6. Ducky Derby
Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 11:00AM – 4:00PM

Allaire Village’s biggest fundraiser of the year! Enjoy a day of amazing kids activities at the 12th Ducky Derby! Summer parking rules are in effect ($5 per car). Ducky races are $1.00 donation per race. First race begins at 11:30AM. Don’t miss out on a day of family fun!

7. Pedal for the Puzzle
Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 11:00AM – 4:00PM

Pedal for the Puzzle’s annual charity bike ride fund raiser brings people together to raise funds and awareness for autism. By riding for the cause, you show outward support for people with autism and their families. Proceeds go to nonprofit organizations committed to improving the lives of individuals with autism.

8. Food Truck Festival at The Hermitage
Saturday, July 21st, 2018 from 11:00AM to 6:00PM
The 3rd Annual Food Truck Festival will take place on the grounds of the Hermitage Museum on Saturday, July 21st from 11:00am to 6:00pm. With over 14 different food trucks, you can explore a variety of different cuisines or keep it simple. It’s your choice! Craft beer, live bands and fun activities for the kids will also be part of the day’s offerings. Bring a blanket or a chair and picnic the day away on our beautiful property while listening to live performances by local bands.Proceeds from this event support the Hermitage Museum.

9. Muckfest MS
Saturday, July 21st, 2018 from 9:00AM to 5:00PM
The event is built for laughs, but we’re also on a serious mission: to support people living with multiple sclerosis and to bring us closer to a world free of MS. And you’ll feel great knowing that 100% of your team’s fundraising dollars support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. MuckFest® MS is built for laughs and muddy from the get-go! Teams run in the same wave so you can experience all the muddy shenanigans, epic spills and thrills together. Re-live the adventure and celebrate your accomplishments with a free beverage and snack in the MuckFestival. Spectators are free, and so is their front-row seat for the Start, Finish and several signature obstacles. Little ones can frolic in the free Lil’ Muckers play area.

10. Healthy Mind and Body Charity Walkathon
Saturday, July 21st, 2018 from 12:00PM to 3:00PM

On Saturday, July 21, 2018 The Three Doctors Foundation will host its 11th annual Healthy Mind & Body walkathon in partnership with Seton Hall University’s Educational Opportunity Fund Programs. The purpose of the walkathon is to promote health and fitness amongst local area youth and families in need. This special event will take place RAIN OR SHINE from 12:00pm-3:00pm and will be hosted by Drs. Sampson Davis, Rameck Hunt and George Jenkins, fondly known as The Three Doctors! Walk as an individual or ask your friends and family to form a team of walkers! Enjoy free snacks, face painting, giveaways, and entertainment for kiddies and adults! This event is FREE and open to the general public! Attendees are also welcome to make a tax exempt donation to support our future outreach programs!

11. Brick Elks Outdoor Flea Market

Clean out your closests for a good cause! The money raised at the annual Brick Elks Outdoor Flea Market will benefit the Drug Awareness Program.

12. 2018 Taste of Somerset County Agriculture Picnic
Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 5:00PM – 9:00PM

The Taste of Somerset County Agriculture Picnic is held annually in celebration of the life of Thomas Everett and to raise funds for the Somerset County Board of Agriculture’s Scholarship program named in his memory. In addition to great, local food, this event will feature live music by one of NJ’s top acoustic rock bands- Acoustic Road.

13. Soulsational Festival

14. 10th Annual Miles for Minds 5K & Fun Run/Walk

On Sunday, July 29th at Roosevelt Park in Edison, NJ support a great cause…the 10th Annual Miles for Minds 5K & Fun/Run Walk! All of the event proceeds will benefit JFK’s Center for Brain Injuries, who’s goal is to treat patients with brain injuries and help them recover to the maximum level possible. Since this is their 10th Annual Race they have set our highest fundraising goal to date- $100,000! Not only does the event benefit a great cause, it’s fun for the whole family!
