Boots at the Beach Festival is a year event held two weekends after Labor Day Weekend, and is the largest country festival around. Plenty of country vendors, crafts, wares, and live country bands will be on display for the whole family. This event is presented by the Anglesea Irish Society, and is a unique event that you will not find anywhere else.

2. Survival Beach Asbury Park

The Annual All About Downtown Street Fair is finally here for the seventh time, but this year there will be over 250 vendors and live music. There will be a shuttle to escort families back and forth to the venue so there is no reason to miss out. As the usual tradition,the Fair will end with an amazing Grassroots Drum Parade.

10. Walgreens Mercer County Dragon Boat Festival & USDBF Club Crew National Championships
Saturday, September 16 – Sunday, September 17, 2017 | 7:00AM to 4:00PM

This fall classic is a magnet for East Coast teams looking to take part in high-quality racing while enjoying nature’s beautiful backdrop. Crews from the New York and Philadelphia region return annually to create a vibrant athletes’ village, setting up team tents and elaborate picnics in the festival grounds. This year, Mercer County Dragon Boat Festival welcomes the USDBF Club Crew National Championships and the ERDBA Regional Championships. Championships will be held over two days where teams will compete for a chance to enter the IDBF Club Crew World Championships. Competitive and recreational teams will be immersed in a close-knit East Coast dragon boat community, with Sport Division teams enjoying a full day of five races including 200m, 500m and 2k distances, and the Community Division teams participating in three 500m races. On festival grounds will be the Health and Wellness Village, offering products and services to help maintain a healthy lifestyle. Athletes can relax in team tents located throughout the Athletes’ Village if they prefer not to set up in the forest.

The combined event beginning at noon is will be presented by the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce and features an exciting list of events such as: a grilling competition, Sussex County Idol singing contest, vendors, exhibitors, crafts, a classic car show, and free barbeque sampling (while supplies last). There will also be some incredible kid friendly events, especially the obstacle course presented by the Sussex County YMCA, Pie in the Face contest, and family scavenger hunt event.. Also included, TransOptions will be giving out free children’s bike helmets (while supplies last), there will be a fruit pie baking contest open to home bakers, and families are encouraged to participate for the egg toss event. Plenty more events have yet to be announced, so make sure your family comes out and partakes in all the fun.
