Psst! We love seeing your adventures around New Jersey. Be sure to tag your photos with #NJMOM and @njmom for a chance to be featured in our round-up next week.

A selfie a day keeps the winter blues away 😁

Umm, are you sure I’m doing this right? 🤨

“All the way at the end of Aisle 4, sir!”

What’s cookin’?

I am constantly amazed with our 3/4’s students. Each day, I see them grow more and more into such wonderful little humans. I love to hear their sometimes serious but often silly conversations with each other, talking about how they love ballet class or how they helped make meatballs at home with their family. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s amazing to watch as they engage in imaginative play as they play doctor or family. Allowing me to witness the ways in which they make sense of the world around them. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s truly heart warming to see them care for one another so much. When a friend is hurt or sad, you can always expect to see a classmate be there to console them and make sure they’re all better. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Their curiosity and sense of adventure continues to inspire me each and every day. It makes me think, maybe we are on to something here. A little freedom, respect, and love goes such a long way. What a blessing it is to see our students develop into such wonderful, complex, and empathetic little humans. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ -Ms. Bri

About Author

Athena is a former nursery school teacher turned marketing wizard at NJMOM, who lives for fashion and globetrotting. As an aunt to 9 little humans, she loves finding cool new activities to do together that will keep everyone smiling. On any given weekend day, you can find Athena eating all the Greek food at her fave local NJ restaurant, Local Greek, in Princeton. Which, not so ironically, is owned by her big fat Greek family.
