The Cape May Stage is hosting a wonderful Theater exploration experience for children ages 7 to 12 this Saturday.  Students will create their own character, construct a mask and then move to different musical styles to discuss the character’s story.

5) Pequest Open House
Saturday March 28th and Sunday March 29th 10:00am-4:00pm
The Pequest Trout Hatchery and Natural Resource Education Center will open its doors this weekend for their annual open house.  The open house takes place every year the weekend before Trout Season opens.  Learn how trout are raised at this state-of-the-art hatchery, watch fish feeding demonstrations, browse the Sportsman’s Flea Market , take an introduction to archery, and enjoy many of the children’s activities throughout the weekend. The Pequest Trout Hatchery and Natural Resource Education Cente, Route 46, Warren County, NJ Cost: FREE

6) Astro Day

The Morris Museum Astronomical Society will be hosting Astro Day this Saturday.  Create a UV Bead keychain, design an alien spacecraft, find out how to locate planets in the night sky, learn how to use your family’s telescope (bring your own) and more!

7) Kiddie Corral Round Up

8) Lambing Day

It’s New Faces Day at the Howell Living History Farm!  Spring means baby animals!  Come meet all of the new adorable friends at the Howell Living Farm. There is over a dozen new arrivals from freshly hatched chicks, twin lambs to baby pigs!  Enjoy a family craft in the visitor’s center and create a “clothespin lamb”.

9) The Family Expo

One of the largest family events of the year is this weekend at the Prudential Center!  There will be over 50+ family-friendly businesses to enjoy shopping, family resources, food and entertainment.  The first 200 families will receive a special goody bag from Babies R Us.  Families will enjoy face painting, kids and teen zones, talent showcases, fashion shows, entertainment and more!

10) Fire and Ice Festival

The Monmouth County Library Headquarters in Manalapan will be holding a Fire and Ice Festival this weekend. Meet a live penguin from Jenkinson’s Aquarium, see dragon’s breath, ice bubbles and enjoy storytelling and shows throughout the afternoon.
