While we’re not venturing out further than our front yards these days, the whole fam can still celebrate Earth Day on April 22nd. This year is even more special—it’s the 50th anniversary and to mark the occasion, so many events have turned virtual. You and the fam can celebrate all week with the #NJMOM Earth Day Challenge, check out the Adventure Aquarium for a Facebook event, discover plants in your yard with NJ Audubon Society BioBlitz Celebration and learn how to make a water awareness necklace after a yoga class with Pure Toms River Yoga. And even as we stay put at home keep this mind: You’re reducing the carbon footprint, resulting in less pollution, better air quality and a chance for animals to reclaim their natural habitats (just look at this Yosemite bear party for proof). So, go ahead, pour out a few glasses of green juice and toast the earth this week.
Psst! We love seeing your stay-at-home adventures around New Jersey. Be sure to tag your photos with #NJMOM and @njmom for a chance to be featured in our round-up next week.
