It’s spring (finally), and this week there are plenty of family-friendly activities to usher in the season. Head to the shore for the Amusement Park Grand Reopening on Jenkinson’s Boardwalk in Point Pleasant, take part in the Easter Egg Scramble in Swedesboro, or go on a scavenger hunt at the Family Nature Club Spring Shindig in West Orange.

Amusement Park Grand Re-Opening
Saturday, March 27 and Sunday, March 28 from 12 PM – 6 PM
It might not be summer just yet, but this weekend, you can head to Jenkinson’s Boardwalk and enjoy a day at the shore. The amusement park section will offer a wide variety of attractions for their opening weekend, from kid-friendly to thrilling. And with new areas like the Adventure Lookout Ropes Course and 7D Dark Ride, there’s plenty to discover and keep all ages busy.

Starting a Summer Garden
Saturday, March 27 from 12 PM – 2 PM
Warm weather is just around the corner, and it’s time to think about starting a garden in your backyard. Kids will love learning how to make a newspaper pot and learn about seeds they can bring home and plant into their own garden.

Kids can let their imaginations run wild during this special craft day. Everyone will get a craft kit to decorate a crown, an eye mask, or a puppet. Then, they’ll make up a story to go along with it. Peppa the Pig will also be making an appearance at 11AM for a dance party and photo ops.

Family Nature Club Spring Shindig

Spring is finally here, and a great time to take a guided hike and go on a photo scavenger hunt. Look for signs of spring all around nature, snap photos on your phone and join in this family-friendly adventure along the trails.
