Hoboken Arts & Music Festival is an exciting family friendly event with plenty of activities to do all day. Certain events that will be showcased include: live music, artists, crafters, photographers, food vendors, local businesses & more. 2. Hamilton Park Festival

Hamilton Park Festival invites your family to join many others as they enjoy live music & entertainment. There will be a beer truck on McWilliams as well as a Petting Zoo for kids. There will also be a Fitness demonstration at the multi-purpose court for those interested. To add, your family can also enjoy an amazing selection of food or new items from plenty of vendor, flea market, and local non-profit organization tables. To top it all off, there will be live entertainment that will be playing from the gazebo location.

4. 47th Annual Irish Festival
Sunday, June 11, 2017 from 10:00AM to 5:30PM
Come celebrate your family’s inner Irish by attend the 47th Annual Irish Festival. Plenty of friends and family will gather together to Monmouth Park for this one day event where everyone is Irish for the day. The festivities start with traditional Irish Mass in our Grandstand at 11am, followed by one of three stages of incredible live music and step dancing performances. Of course, your family must not forget to end your day with an ice-cold drink cheering some fabulous horse racing. There will be two races of the fan-favorite Human Horse Race which will take place on the track – cheer them on for a good cause. Your family can also grab a plate of delicious food and watch as the Pipe and Drum bands parade through Monmouth Park to celebrate Irish heritage. Your children also can experience the festival with FREE pony rides, a bouncy house, face painting, and clowns.

5. Portugal Day 2017

Every year nearly 300,000 people come to Newark’s Ironbound to celebrate Portugal Day. Dive in and explore Portuguese culture and cuisine close up. There will be folk dancing to special performances by Portuguese recording artists, classical guitarists, to classic rock you’ll get experience all that Portugal is right here in Newark.

6. Manalapan Day

Manalapan Day will open early for the first time early at 2:00 p.m. for families with small children to jump into all the excitement with no time to waste. This glorious event includes a free bounce house, a variety of kid games, delectable food, and plenty of exhibits. For the children, there will also be a carnival, pony rides, a petting zoo, the Manalapan High School Cheerleaders, and other local performers/acts including musical acts providing live entertainment on the two large stages provided. There will also be a famous legendary musical hit machine from the 70’s on the main stage, followed by a stunning fireworks show in the skies above Manalapan.

Roosevelt Park invites your family to its beautiful Afternoon in the Park Event. There will be plenty of entertainment and fun for the whole family. World renowned children’s entertainer, Mr. Ray will be in attendance, along with plenty other activities such as: Bounce house, face-painting, Touch the Truck (Children of all ages can climb up and get into the driver’s seat of the County’s large trucks and vehicles), Fishing in Roosevelt Lake (Bring your poles and equipment. The World Dog Expo is a premiere event that will capture the attention of dog enthusiasts from around the world. This event is not only the first event of its kind, but with the growing international fascination with dogs, it is expected that this event will generate a buzz throughout the New York media market; families from all over the Tri-State area will be attending. The three–day magnificent event will celebrate dogs everywhere with multiple performance stages, dock diving and disc dog events. Your family can also see incredible dogs compete in fly ball, rally obedience, treibball, barn hunt and agility, just to name a few. World Dog Expo will also feature an exciting breed showcase area, showcasing over one hundred breeds known from all over the world. A world championship grooming competition will the center of attention encompassing the art of pet grooming as never seen before. Aside from the spectator events, the expo looks to promote dog rescue, fostering, adoption, educational seminars on proper care and nutrition, pet first aid, as well as other classes for pet owners. 11. 115th Library Anniversary Block Party

The 115th anniversary of the Trenton Free Public Library is here, and they are inviting your family to join them for the best block party all summer. Built in 1902, the library will offer a great block party complete with local authors, book sale, face painting, and food trucks. Colonial Park Gardens annual Rose Day festival celebrates one of the first signs of summer, which is Roses in Bloom. In the center of the park, the Rudolf W. van der Goot Rose Garden displays thousands of different types of roses. Families are invited to celebrate and bask in the day by strolling through the gardens, enjoying music, meeting local artisan, and indulging in some mouth-watering food! Of course, Back by popular demand, there will be rose plants for sale.
