Hunterdon County 4-H & Agricultural Fair
August 21 – 23
Get your daily dose of horses and goats at the annual Hunterdon County 4H and Agricultural Fair, where you can celebrate this area’s agrarian history with competitive events and shows. But that’s not all—you can also enjoy food trucks, music and tribute bands, truck and tractor pulls, livestock, archery and of course, a firework show to end the festivities on Friday night.

Morris Twp Family Food Truck Fest
August 24, 11 AM – 7 PM
The Garden State Food Truck Fest rolls into Morris Township this weekend for a day of endless food and fun. Your littles will have a blast with the children’s activities and games, and the big kids will love nibbling their way through foodie favorites like Mini Donuts NYC, Koro Koro Rice Ball Cafe, Angry Archie’s Seafood, Angry Chourico BBQ and so many more. This amazing event benefits Homeless Solutions of Morristown.

Pupstock Festival
August 24, 12 PM – 6 PM
Get your puppy fix at Pupstock Festival, held at the Sussex County Fairgrounds. Pupstock features fun activities and stations for dogs and their owners, including a beach zone, an art zone, a dog agility test, a dog costume contest and tons of paws-itive entertainment—like live music. This event benefits Father John’s Animal House, which means there will be pups of all ages on-site looking for homes, too.

JDRF/FARE CRAB RACE
August 24, 5 PM – 6 PM
On the last Saturday of the month, your kids can race plastic crabs at Breakwater Beach Waterpark in Seaside Heights. The crabs are released into the Revolutionary River in a race to benefit Juvenile Diabetes and Food Allergy Research Education. The winning crab gets $100 and 10 All-Day Passes to Breakwater Beach for the 2019 season. Don’t worry, though…lots of other crabs will get prizes, too! All proceeds from the event go directly to JDRF and FARE.

2019 Jersey Shore Jazz & Blues Festival
August 24, 1 PM – 9 PM
Get the fam together at the Jersey Shore Jazz & Blues Festival for a full day of live jazz and blues, good eats, games, crafts and of course, great company. It’s the one communal event at the Jersey Shore that’s bound to get every family member movin’ and groovin’. There will be plenty of games and family fun for the kids to enjoy, and fireworks to end the festival at night.

Canal Day Music and Craft Festival
August 24, 10 AM-  5 PM
At Canal Day Music and Craft Festival, experience life on the Morris Canal first hand by traveling down the waterway on a free boat ride. Or, you can prove your prowess by paddling a kayak. You can also experience the art of blacksmithing, visit a civil war encampment and enjoy listening to over 10 of the state’s best musical performers while attending this festival. Head over to the fireworks festivities and display at Robert Street Park at night—they begin at 7 PM.

Food Trucks and Fireworks Fest
August 24, 4 PM -10 PM
No one will get hangry at this food truck festival. At the Food Trucks and Fireworks Fest in Mt. Olive, there’s something for everyone, with food trucks ranging from lobster bisque or lobster mac n’ cheese to frozen cheesecake and fried Oreos. There’ll be food, live music, beer gardens, bounce houses and fireworks—the perfect end to the summer. Don’t forget your appetite!

Bergen County Music Fest: Salute to Veterans
August 25, 1 PM- 7 PM
The 5th Annual Bergen County Music Festival’s “Salute To Veterans ” is a tribute to all veterans and members of the United States Armed Services. The fun festival is a great way for families and communities to come together and celebrate music and this year, honor our veterans. Head over to New Overpeck County Park for live entertainment that’s sure to get you in the dancing mood.

Cranford Summer Street Fair
August 25, 11 AM- 5 PM
If you’re looking for something to do in Union County this weekend, stop by downtown Cranford for the Cranford Summer Street Fair. Choose from a wide variety of food vendors, shop for jewelry and other trinkets and hang out with live music playing in the background.  It’s the best way to spend a summer Sunday with the family.
