Join other families on a walk through the wilderness of Hadwick during the Summer Nature Walk, party like it’s 1899 at Historic Blairstown Day in Blairstown or feast on the most delicious Italian goodies at La Festa Italiana in Jersey City. Meet Me In Morristown 2019
August 29, 5 PM – 9 PM

Meet Me In Morristown transforms downtown Morristown into a living, breathing place for kids to see art, music and creativity up close and personal. Bring your strollers and get ready to walk, so your family can see the art table displays, musical performances and artistic vendor sales up and down the charming streets of Morristown’s business district.

Salem County Fair
August 6 – 9

If your fam is looking for another fair, Salem County’s definitely won’t disappoint. This iconic event is celebrating it’s 60th anniversary with all your fair favorites, including horse shows, food contests, archery demonstrations, pig races, tractor pulls, pageants and fireworks to end the celebration. It’s the perfect combination of jaw-dropping and show-stopping.

2nd Annual Summer Fun Festival
August 18, 11 AM – 3 PM
Join Hudson Regional Hospital and the Town of Secaucus for the 2nd Annual Summer Fun Festival. Farmers markets, kids activities, pet adoptions, free health services, food trucks and tons of live music make it an event worth while. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the sweet simplicities of an NJ summer—and a great excuse to get out sand have some fun.

Salt Water Day 2019
August 10, 2 PM – 10 PM

Annual Salt Water Day is coming to the Laurence Harbor Waterfront. Shop ’til you drop with over 70 vendors, food trucks, rides, live music, kids rides and a corn hole tournament. It’s the perfect spot for waterfront fun, so bring the whole family to splash around. Kids will love ending the night with a stunning firework display.

Historic Blairstown Day
August 11, 11 AM – 5 PM
Blairstown Museum will take you back in time with nostalgic entertainment, antiques, craft and food vendors. A classic car show, a birthday celebration for the town founder and many more fun and educational activities make this historical celebration one you won’t want to miss.

La Festa Italiana in Jersey City
August 14 – 18, 5 PM – 11 PM
You’ll be singing “that’s amore” all night long after a fun night out at La Festa Italiana in Jersey City. For over 100 years, this fest has brought the community together with culinary Italian delights, traditional music, games, rides, merchants and vendors. The proceeds benefit Historic Holy Rosary Church in Jersey City. That’s amore!

Passaic County Fair
August 15 – 18

Ride all the rides, eat all the funnel cake, see all the animals, enter a chess tournament and listen to live music with your fam at the Passaic County Fair in Woodland Park. There’s even a beer garden for mamas to sample their favorite brews. Be sure to stick around for fireworks on Friday and Saturday.

2019 Morris Township Food Truck Fest
August 24, 11 AM – 7 PM

Plan to stay awhile with the fam and enjoy live music, a variety of food trucks and children’s activities at the Morris Township Food Truck Fest. You can also give back by attending this event, with all proceeds benefiting the Homeless Solutions of Morristown.

Link up with other NJ families who appreciate our beautiful state as much as yours during a group summer nature walk in the meadows of White Lake Natural Resource Area of Hadwick. The group nature walk is led by a husband and wife duo, who also double as nature educators for NJ families—so if learning about cool insects native to NJ or the stunning plants of summer is up your kid’s alley, be sure to sign up here. Get there by 10 AM, and meet your tour guides at the main parking lot of White Lake. The hike is pet-friendly, so bringing a four-legged family member is encouraged, too.

August 30, 6 PM – 9 PM
The only cure for beating those end-of-summer blues? Spending a night out in the serene Vernon Valley during Vernon Night Out. Hosted at Maple Grange Park in Vernon—where visitors have access to two playgrounds and a walking track—this event is packed with events your kids will love, like yoga demonstrations, archery tag, an on-site petting zoo, live music performances and free giveaways. Food vendors will also be available. #NJMOM tip: don’t waste time trying to find parking at the event and take a shuttle from the nearby Lounsberry Hollow School to Maple Grange Park instead.
