Admission to all exhibitions and artist studio demonstrations is free and open to the public\, part of WheatonArts Family Days\, presented by PNC Arts Alive! \nExplore Transformations: The Wasserstein Collection of Contemporary Glass and redundancies curated by David Schnuckel in the Museum of American Glass and Communities and Cultures of Down Jersey in the Down Jersey Folklife Center on display April through December\, \nExperience a collection of artist demonstrations throughout the campus and take a kiln tour in the Pottery Studio! \nCreate a series of hands-on projects for all ages and skill levels with our spring themed Family Art Activities! \nCelebrate with food\, shopping\, and a walk around the Nature Trail! \nThe Wheaton Springs opening season event is free and open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday\, April 5\, 2025. WheatonArts is open April through December from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. Special event hours may vary. Admission tickets can be purchased online or at the gate. DESCRIPTION:This event sponsored by the Long Hill Chamber of Commerce will be held along Main Avenue between Mercer & Somerset Streets from 10am-5pm rain or shine. The street will be closed to vehicle traffic during the event and will be transformed into a giant block party. If you like shopping then this is the place to be. We have quality exhibitors selling a selection of assorted items\, a special arts & crafts section\, live entertainment\, kiddie rides & games\, great festival foods & food trucks\, and so much more. Don’t miss stopping by the many local merchants & civic organizations to see what goodies they are passing out between Union & Essex Streets. As you stroll along stop to have a bite to eat and sit at tables in our live music area. See the show we have planned with live music\, dancing\, karate demonstrations and more. So come hungry and enjoy eating carnival food favorites like a sausage & pepper sandwich\, cheese steaks\, kettle corn\, chicken fingers\, ice cream\, zeppole\, shish kabobs\, gyros\, fresh cut fries\, fresh squeezed lemonade\, Italian ice and the many great gourmet foods from the food trucks. We also have The “Kidz Traveling Shindig” which is a section dedicated to children with kiddie bounce rides\, slides and interactive blow ups\, face painters\, sand art & kids games just to name a few things. We will have live entertainment throughout the day. \nTake the train to the fair!\nYou can take the NJ Transit Train to the Stirling Station and you will be at the street fair. By car the detour route is Passaic Ave. and Somerset Street. Parking is available at the Train Station lot\, and the side streets. The Friends of Wallisch Homestead is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit group whose mission is to act as stewards in the preservation and adaptive reuse of the Homestead buildings and grounds. We expect approximately 60 exhibitors selling a wide variety of antiques\, collectibles\, vintage items\, estate jewelry\, coins\, stamps\, comics\, sports memorabilia\, furniture\, dolls\, and much more. Along with browsing the booths of many exhibitors\, you may enjoy some delicious food from the many food trucks that will be there. Throughout the day\, you will enjoy the lively music by one of our regular performers. \nAPPRAISAL SERVICE\nBring your valuables and treasures. Between the hours of 11 am-3 pm\, you will be able to have your items appraised by a certified appraiser\, Jon Feltz of RZM Fine Arts & Antiques Inc. from Pearl River\, NY. The fee is $10 per item appraised. \nADMISSION & PARKING\nAdmission is free. Parking is $5 per car and there’s plenty of parking here.

Along with browsing the booths of many exhibitors\, you may enjoy some delicious food from the many food trucks that will be there. The museum will be open for walk-through tours and throughout the day\, you can enjoy the lively music by one of our regular performers. Bring your valuables and treasures. Between the hours of 11 am-3 pm\, you will be able to have your items appraised by a certified appraiser\, Jon Feltz of RZM Fine Arts & Antiques Inc. from Pearl River\, NY. The fee is $10 per item appraised. Parking is on the grounds and at neighboring parking lots. You will see parking signs. Admission to the fair is $5 per person. Proceeds from this event benefit the Hermitage Museum. Rain or inclement weather cancels the event\, which will be announced on our website\, our office number\, and JC’s social media event updates.
