SUMMARY:STEM Experience for Girls in Central & Southern NJ
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, March 8\, Girl Scouts of Central & Southern New Jersey will host its Annual STEM Conference: Spark Your Curiosity! at Rowan College at Burlington County.\nThis one-day event is open to ALL girls in grades K-12\, whether or not they are currently Girl Scouts. It’s a chance for girls to explore science\, technology\, engineering\, and math through hands-on workshops and engaging activities led by experts in the field.\nAs you know\, families today are busier than ever\, which is why this conference is designed to pack as much opportunity into one day as possible. Girls will rotate through four interactive workshops based on their age\, exploring topics such as robotics\, aerospace\, chemistry\, and environmental science. They’ll also hear from women working in STEM fields\, showing them firsthand what’s possible for their future.\nWhy This Matters\n•	Women make up nearly half of the U.S. workforce but hold only 28% of STEM jobs.\n•	Research shows that early exposure to STEM directly increases the likelihood of leadership and career opportunities later in life.\n•	Many girls miss out on STEM exploration simply because they aren’t introduced to it in a fun and engaging way.\nThis conference creates an environment where girls can discover new interests\, build confidence\, and see themselves as future scientists\, engineers\, and innovators. It’s a chance for families to give their daughters a day filled with learning\, fun\, and hands-on experiences—without a long-term commitment or ongoing classes. \nEvent Details\n📅 Date: Saturday\, March 8\, 2025\n📍 Location: Rowan College at Burlington County\n🎟 Open to: All girls in grades K-12 in Central & Southern NJ\n🔗 Registration deadline: February 24\, 2025\n➡ More Info & Registration: https://www.gscsnj.org/en/sf-events-repository/2025/stem-conference-2025–spark-your-curiosity-.html\nRegistration will ask for a Sign-in or to Create an Account\, this is to permit us to confirm your information and lunch requests.

Kids will rotate through different topics like veterinary science and medicine\, animal behavior\, pet nutrition\, engineering and design\, and the life cycle of a butterfly. Hands on activities will help participants understand how STEM is used every day in animal welfare and how they can be involved with this in the future! \nWe would like to thank our friends at WSFS Bank for their generous support of the STEM Education Day. \nK-5th grade students: 12:30pm-2:30pm\n6th-12th grade students: 3pm-5pm
