DESCRIPTION:Spectrum360’s a Walk for a Lifetime brings together families\, friends\, staff\, alumni\, and community sponsors to show their support of the students and adults who attend Spectrum360. \nSunday\, June 1st in Verona Park\n9:00 am – Registration/Check in\n11:00 am – Opening Ceremony\n11:15 am – Walking Begins \nEarly Bird Registration: $15 (before April 1st) \nRegistration: $25 (April 1st – June 1st) \nRegistered participants who raise $60 before May 7th will be guaranteed to receive a commemorative t-shirt. \nThe walk at Verona Park consists of a flat\, paved\, walking path with some stairs required to get across the bridge. Parking is available in the on-site parking lot or on surrounding streets. \nSpectrum360 provides people with autism and those with related challenges the specialized programs and supports they need to realize their aspirations\, lead thriving lives\, and fully engage with their families and in their communities. DESCRIPTION:Join the Matheny School & Hospital for the annual Miles for Matheny event! \nMatheny’s mission is to provide exceptional care and an optimal quality of life for children and adults with special needs and medically complex developmental disabilities. Miles for Matheny is our largest annual fundraiser\, and event proceeds will support medical\, educational\, and therapeutic services for our students and residents. \nThis community celebration has something for the whole family. You can register for our Trail Run/Walk\, which features stunning views of the Matheny campus\, the nearby Blairsden estate\, and the surrounding Somerset Hills. Kids 3 – 13 are encouraged to try the Kids Fun Run and Obstacle Course. All guests are also highly encouraged to participate in our signature Wheelchair Walk\, where you can join Matheny residents\, families\, friends\, and staff as they “wheel” through campus – with lots of cheering along the way! You are also welcome to simply attend and cheer on these events\, while enjoying live music\, a barbeque and food trucks\, carnival games\, a petting zoo\, a bounce house\, and more! \nRegistration is open until June 6th\, but walk-ins are always welcome.
