Stop by Morven any time between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. for activities and artmaking with community partners; garden tours; face painting; music from the Vintage Vibe Tribe; food trucks; a chance to sign the Declaration of Independence; and more. A short distance away\, check out the Princeton Battlefield State Park where you can visit the historic Clarke House and hear a reading of the Declaration of Independence at 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Located on Philadelphia’s historic Independence Mall\, there is no better place for history enthusiasts and families to celebrate. On our nation’s birthday\, enjoy a day of activities to promote a deeper understanding of our nation’s culture and values. \nPhilly’s official 4th of July parade kicks off in Old City at 11 AM\, beginning at 5th & Chestnut Streets and ending at Broad and Arch Streets. Join us after the parade for a joy-filled and patriotic day! \nSchedule of Fun \n12 – 4 PM Make-and-Take 4th of July crafts\, a perfect opportunity to enjoy the festivities and cool off indoors. We’ll also offer a sidewalk chalk party on our plaza (weather permitting)! \n12:15 – 1 PM Sing with Miss Cat from Mr. John’s Music for an interactive and engaging music class to kick off the family day fun! \n1:15 – 2:15 PM Meet author and storyteller Thembi Palmer for an inspiring and interactive storytime that sparks imagination and empowers young minds (ages 2 – 8). \n2:30 – 3:15 PM Join Adoughma (Ah-DOUGH-mah) dough play; sensory-friendly play dough fun (all ages) with Erin Beser from Jewish Learning Venture.
