DESCRIPTION:This fall the County College of Morris’ Longo Planetarium will present three dazzling shows for the general public on the second and fourth weekends of the month. \nThe planetarium will feature a new show for kids. Cosmic Colors will take you on a wondrous journey across the entire electromagnetic spectrum. Discover why the sky is blue\, Mars is red and black holes give off x-rays. Get ready for an amazing adventure under a rainbow of cosmic light! In Messengers of Time and Space visitors can also get an in-depth look at how large telescopes are mapping the universe and patrolling the sky for supernovas\, pulsating stars\, comets\, and asteroids. Join our planetarium’s astronomer under the dome for a live tour of the night sky in Starlit Nights using the planetarium’s state of the art Digistar 7 system. \nNote all shows include a tour of the night sky and planets.
