Watershed Butterfly Festival
August 12 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Tickets are now available for our 17th Annual Butterfly Festival. It will be held at the Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association, August 12, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., on our 930-acre Watershed Reserve in Hopewell Township, NJ.
The Butterfly Festival is our largest annual educational event. It is an enlightening day focusing on the importance of maintaining the delicate balance between humans and the natural world. This family-oriented day has grown to be a major regional event, attracting more than 3,000 visitors. The day will feature new and exciting ways in which the Watershed is fulfilling its mission to protect the environment and clean water. We invite you to join us in modeling ways to participate in the process of keeping our earth green and provide examples of planet-friendly choices to help support greener-living. We will feature local crafts and products and feature exhibitors and contributors with many types of art, crafts, music, photography, sculpture, etc.
Enjoy live music in the new beer garden with wine & cider, take a hay ride tour on the Watershed Reserve, and stop by our dunk tank to see a splash. Nature walks are scheduled throughout the day as well as the famous Butterfly and Bug Parade. Check out the Insect Zoo and family programs indoors, or cool off in our chill tent. Kids can try out a nature obstacle course, play games, and discover the magic of the butterfly house.
