The Fairgrounds is divided into areas, grouped around a theme.
Contains 4 open-sided livestock barns with livestock rotating throughout the ten days; a small animal building; Livestock Pavilion with livestock shows daily, milking parlor with scheduled milking; greenhouse with vegetable & forage show; RoNetco Supermarkets Farm Fun Building with hands-on activities for children; and Melody Farm Follies singing vegetable presentation.
Horse Show Area
Three rings alternate shows beginning with quarter horses August 5-7, and followed by a variety of classes of the Sussex County Horse Show which pulls riders from a number of states. Rachel Jackson with her Roman riding and Sylvia Zerbini with her liberty horses performing every day after 6 p.m
Miller Lite Outdoor Entertainment Area
Demo derbies, rodeo, motocross, mudbog, and monster truck rides on varying days. Check the schedule for more details!

Open from noon to closing each day. Special Pay One Price Days for ride bracelets. MegaPass tickets for savings on admission and ride bracelets when purchased prior to August 5th.
Carnival ride credits may be purchased on a Fair Card, which is then swiped at each ride. The cards are reloadable and good for 2017 as well. Most kiddie rides take 6 credits, major rides are 8-10 credits, spectacular rides 10-14 credits. The price per credit of the Fair Card packages has decreased since 2015: 2 credits/$2, 20/$11, 40/$21, 100/$51, 200/$101.
Pay One Price: a ride bracelet for unlimited rides is available at the Carnival area for the following dates/times: Fri., Aug. 5, 6 p.m. to closing; Mon., Aug 8th, noon-closing; Tues-Thurs., Aug. 9-11, noon-6 p.m.; Sun., Aug.14, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., $25, admission not included.
Megapasses: A megapass is admission and a ride bracelet for any one day of the Fair. Megapasses are available at selected local businesses and online until Aug. 4th. Seehttp://njstatefair.org/fair/dates-times-tickets/ for details. Adult [13 yrs. & up] megapass- $30, child [6-12 yrs.] – $25.
The Richards Educational Building presents an Art Show, Photography Show, Creative Arts for Home and Hobby (baking, canning, handcrafts), The Fair History Exhibit, and the Grange Exhibit & Honey Show.
