It’s that time of year—spring flowers in NJ are here, and we can’t think of a better way to get outside and celebrate the season. From colorful tulip fields to stunning irises to gorgeous cherry blossoms, seeing the prettiest spring flowers in NJ will brighten your day (and give you plenty of reel moments for the ‘gram). Cherry Blossoms

Branch Brook Park

You don’t need to head out of state to see spectacular cherry blossoms—Branch Brook Park is known for its 2,700 beautiful pink Japanese Cherry Blossom trees exploding with color all over the park in April. For extra cherry blossom fun this season, enjoy Bloomfest, a festival with live music, food, crafters, and more.
Cost: Free to the public; some events have a fee

Chapel Avenue

Head to Cherry Hill this season and take in the gorgeous cherry blossoms. In the last two weeks of April, Chapel Avenue is lined with gorgeous blooms for a “9-11 Remembrance” event, featuring yellow ribbons and American flags along the 2-mile avenue to commemorate all those lost.

Daffodils

Reeves-Reed Arboretum

Plan to stop by the Arboretum’s famous Daffodil Days in April, when fields of thousands of yellow and orange-tinged daffies fill this NJ garden listed on the National and State Registers of Historic Places. 
Cost: $15 per person for non-members; 3 and under are free

Historic Allentown

Head to this charming town to get a peek at the yellow blooms during the Daffodil Days Festival, starting late March in historic Allentown. Past events include a festival that boasts 10,000 daffodils throughout the town, with adult- and kid-friendly activities such as a “story walk,” performances, and daffodil-themed dinners during the week. 
Cost: Most activities are free to enjoy

Tulips

Dalton Farms

This farm expects the tulips to start blooming in late March and offers acres of pink, yellow, red, and purple tulips to stroll through. Bring a bouquet home—they let you cut your own.
Cost: The Tulip Fest Flash Sale begins in March

Holland Ridge Farms

New Jersey’s popular u-pick tulip season runs from April through May, offering visitors rows of colorful tulips. Stock up on some beautiful tulips at $1 per stem on weekends and $0.50 on weekdays. They also host food trucks and events during the tulip season. Make sure to snap the fam for a timeless photo, and unlike many flower farms in New Jersey, you are welcome to bring a photographer to the grounds, too. This year, you can expect a colorful burst—the farm planted millions of tulips.
Cost: $17 on weekdays and $20 on weekends

Peonies

Peony’s Envy

This 7-acre display garden features a variety of peony collections, including 700 cultivars and more than 50,000 individual plants. You can also cut your own herbaceous peonies at the 12-acre off-site area. And save May 30, 2026, for their Peak Bloom Party, featuring a gourmet dinner in the garden. The peonies will be on display from April 27 to June 7, 2026.

Irises

Presby Memorial Iris Gardens

This garden spot for spring flowers in NJ is often called the “rainbow on the hill.” Starting May 15, 2026 (it will be their 99th year), visitors can see more than 14,000 irises of about 3,000 varieties at the base of Mountainside Park.
Cost: Free to the public; $10 per person suggested donation

Lilacs

New Jersey Botanical Garden

The Lilac Garden on the East Lawn includes more than 100 varieties of this fragrant purple flower. If you want to peek at the best blooms, stop by in mid-May.
Cost: Admission is free; parking fee is seasonal

The Willowwood Arboretum

This Arboretum has gardens spread throughout the 131 acres, including a lilac collection northwest of its Stone Barn. A long list of lilac varieties can be found on their website, with flowering beginning in late April (until mid-June, depending on the variety). 
Cost: Admission is free, except during certain events

Orchids

Stony Hill Farms

Known for its orchids and varieties, this farm has Cattleya, Dendrobium, Miltoniopsis, and Vanda orchids, among others, growing in its greenhouse. Need care advice? They’ll give you plenty of tips and care instructions when you visit (check their website for more info).

Duke Farms

With over 1,000 acres, Duke Farms is a beautiful spot to explore. The fantastic orchid display includes subtropical and tropical sections, with a focus on plants native to the United States. Take a tour through the Orchid Range, situated in a glass-and-steel enclosure (the first ornamental structure built at Duke Farms), and take in the sights and smells of numerous exotic varieties of this gorgeous flower. Afterward, grab lunch at their award-winning cafe. 
Cost: Free; reserve Saturday parking passes from April-November

Roses

Rudolf W. Van Der Goot Rose Garden

This gorgeous rose garden in NJ features over 3,000 roses of 345 varieties in bloom from late spring through the fall. The beautiful ponds and seating areas offer many spots to stop and smell the roses, and signage around the grounds provides more insight into why roses are known as the queen of flowers.
Cost: Suggested donation $6 per adult and $3 per senior or child

Deep Cut Gardens

Within the 54 acres of gardens and greenhouses is a Rose Parterre, home to 52 varieties of roses and more than 180 bushes. Beyond that, enjoy the other lush gardens and areas that make Deep Cut Gardens a favorite for kids and adults.
