With school ending in only a couple of weeks, you may be starting to feel like your brain is already on vacation mode. That’s why weekends are for fun, not chores! There are some great events this weekend that won’t cost you a dime. Enjoy a trip to the museum, a football camp, a movie in a castle and more without ever reaching into your wallet.

Saturday June 6th and Sunday June 7th all day
It’s the first weekend of the month, so do you know what that means? Bank of America cardholders and Merill Lynch cardholders can visit over 150 museums and cultural institutions this weekend for free. Each cardholder can enjoy one free general admission ticket to the museum by showing their Bank of America or Merrill Lynch credit or debit card and identification to the ticketing agent.

1) See a movie in a castle
Friday June 5th 7:00pm
Enjoy one of Disney’s most popular movies – Frozen – in a castle! Kip’s Castle Park will be hosting movie nights every Friday night. Be sure to get there early for the pre-show entertainment. Concessions are for sale as well.

Point Pleasant is kicking off summer this weekend! Moms and dads can get the weekend started with a 21+ party Friday night. Then fun for all ages starts Saturday afternoon with food, games, rides, entertainment, live music and much more!

The 22nd annual Montgomery Professional Rodeo and Bullmania is this weekend. Professional cowboys from all over the country come to compete. There are many activities to also enjoy like a kids carnival, food and beverage vendors, live bands, a mechanical bull and much more.

4) Lily’s 7th Annual Lemonade Stand Guinness World Record Attempt
Saturday June 6th 9:00am
Childhood cancer survivor Lily is attempting a Guinness World Record this weekend at her 7th Annual Lemonade Stand for Alex’s Lemonade Stand! Each year over 720 children are diagnosed with cancer and more than 250 will not survive. Join Lily at Lindenwold Park with your friends, family and neighbors as they attempt to drink the largest cup of lemonade at 1,600 gallons all to raise money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand!

5) Marcel Shipp Football Camp
Saturday June 6th 9:00am
New York Jets running back coach Marcel Shipp is hosting a football clinic this Saturday morning. This free football fundamentals camp is geared for children ages 5 to 18. It serves as an introduction to football by teaching the basic skills of the game in a fun environment.

6) Anniversary Arts Festival
Saturday June 6th 11:00am-4:00pm
Grounds for Sculpture is celebrating their birthday!
Come for drop-in kid workshops and performances throughout the day, as they show off their current exhibition in new and unique ways. There’s free ice cream and cake, and everyone’s favorite Peacock Calling Contest! The first 200 children will receive a party gift!

7) Strawberry Festival

Alstede Farms invites you to their annual strawberry festival this weekend. Enjoy your favorite berry in delicious strawberry treats and then take a scenic hayride to the strawberry patch to pick your own! While you are at the farm, enjoy lots of family fun like pony rides, tractor train rides, a moon bounce, and much more!

8) Privateers & Pirates Fest
Saturday June 6th 11am-5pm
It’s all things pirate this weekend at the Tuckerton Seaport. Learn the difference between privateers and pirates and then pretend to be one. Learn about pirate history (authentic and make-believe), plus have fun with a treasure scavenger hunt, costume contest and pirate craft activities.The crew of the Valhalla Pirates and the Bloody Historical Privateers of the Northern Star will be providing historic pirate entertainment. Also enjoy live music, food and vendors all day. Your admission also includes miniature golf and admission to Tucker’s Island Lighthouse.

9) Choo Choo Soul with Genevieve

10) Magical Yoga Book Reading

Ignite Yoga Studio invites children ages 2 to 9 years old to go on a Magical Yoga Adventure with Lucinda. This 45 minute book reading includes yoga, music, breathing and relaxation as the children pretend to “be” the animals and characters they meet in the story! Parents will learn tools and excercises needed to creative positive experiences at home and at school. After the event, enjoy a meet & greet and book signing with the author.

14) Dinosaurs of New Jersey
Sunday June 7th 1:00pm-3:00pm and 5:00pm-7:00pm
Come learn about the dinosaurs that once roamed New Jersey. Make a plaster cast of a Hadrodsaur footprint and take a walk and use your imagination to go back to prehistoric times! When you are done, visit the animals of Historic Longstreet Farm or play in the playground at Holmdel Park. This event is for ages 4 and up.

15) National Trails Day
